Beyond the Battle Museum

Historic Gettysburg’s new museum highlights the stories of ordinary citizens “caught in the crossfire.” Immersive environments and complex media systems interpret the pivotal battle from many different perspectives.

Guests encounter a recreated Civil War-era home, 360° special effects, and an introductory film projection-mapped onto a 12-foot scenic rock formation. Artifact collections, graphic treatments and interactive media are surrounded by architectural finishes reminiscent of the period, creating a layered and unique exhibit that optimizes space.
