Three Galleries, One Goal
The Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library Gallery showcases select volumes and manuscripts dating from colonial-era Georgia, the Civil War, through the twentieth century. Custom artifact cases were designed to meet strict conservation and security requirements.
The Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies Gallery is driven by a presentation of political quotes, oral histories, and official documents from Georgia politicians. Guests encounter a thirty-foot-long biographical mural, reflection gallery, and recreated Senator’s office environment as they move through the space, analyzing key research themes through interactive media and film presentations.
The Walter J. Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection Gallery reflects the collective memory of broadcasting. Details are inspired by the dynamic forms evident in the archive of moving image and sound materials. A rich selection of programming imagery contextualizes artifact collections and provides present-day content, supporting changeability within its casework and interactive kiosks.
