West Virginia Judicial Learning Center
Understanding the Courts
Exhibits activate the historic spaces surrounding the Supreme Court’s courtroom, and emphasize the transparency of the court system. Interactive programs and hands-on activities creatively engage visitors while explaining complex judicial concepts. Designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, the target audience of the Learning Center is primarily school groups.
A locker interactive features school-related court cases, touchscreens allow guests to “Be the Judge” after reviewing sample cases, and at the Scales of Justice, the center’s youngest guests can balance blocks labeled past cases, evidence, and the law.
